​​What is a pre-order?

A pre-order lets you reserve an upcoming book before its official release date. Your copy will be set aside just for you and ready for pickup on release day.

Do I get a discount on pre-orders?
Yes! All pre-orders at Story Hollow are 20% off the cover price.

When will I get my pre-ordered book?
Pre-orders are available for pickup at Story Hollow on the book’s release day. We’ll have it waiting for you!

 

Where do I pick up my pre-order?
All pre-orders must be picked up in-store at Story Hollow Bookstore during normal business hours.

 

Can I pre-order a book that isn’t listed on this page?
Absolutely! This page features popular and highly anticipated titles, but we can pre-order almost any upcoming release. Just stop by the store or give us a call during normal business hours and we’ll be happy to help.

*What is the Pre-order Swag?
While each book release pre-order swag is always unique to that book, we don't always know what will be offered by the publisher. Usually it is a branded tote, bookmark, bookplate, or other fun item. **All Pre-order Swag is while supplies last** So order yours early! Swag will be available at the time you pick-up your pre-order.

Do you offer shipping for pre-orders?
Please call the store or checkout our page on Bookshop.org for shipping pre-orders. *Pre-order swag not included on Bookshop.org orders.

 

Why is the total different at checkout than listed on this page?
The price listed on this page is the cover price. The price at checkout includes your 20% discount AND sales tax.

 

What if a release date changes?
Publishers occasionally change release dates. If that happens, we’ll update our records and your book will be ready as soon as it officially releases.

 

What happens if I don’t pick up my pre-order?
We will hold your book for you until you pick it up. If a book isn’t picked up within 3 months, we may place it back on the shelf for sale.
