Seasonal PT Bookseller 

While we are not currently hiring, we are still accepting applications for the upcoming season.

About the Role

As a bookseller at Story Hollow, you’ll do more than ring up sales—you’ll help create a welcoming space where stories come to life. You'll assist customers, recommend books, keep the store clean and inviting, and help with book clubs and community events.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers with warmth and enthusiasm

  • Operate the register and handle transactions

  • Recommend books across a variety of genres and age groups

  • Restock and organize shelves, maintain store tidiness

  • Assist with store events (author signings, book clubs, etc.)

  • Contribute to creative displays and themed promotions

  • Occasionally lift boxes up to 25 lbs

Hours​

  • Approx. 20 hours per week

  • Flexible schedule preferred, some Saturdays required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Age 18+ preferred (flexible depending on maturity and experience)

  • Friendly and reliable with strong communication skills

  • Comfortable working independently and with others

  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
